Hello all!
The conference planning for ACIS-West 2010 (Boise, Idaho) is really coming together. We’ve been excited to take on this challenge and are working hard to make sure your time is Boise is exhilarating and exciting.
Our keynote, Professor Christopher Murray, and our special guest, Trevor Joyce, are in line to attend. In addition, the Film Panel and Creative Writers’ Panel are set.
We are currently organizing the conference program and are making arrangements for the food that will be served at the conference. Regarding the food options, please fill out the survey below and return it via a reply e-mail as soon as possible to help us in this effort. A more comprehensive food reservation is forthcoming in the weeks leading up to the conference.

The tentative schedule runs from 2pm on Friday, October 1 to 1pm on Sunday, October 3rd.

Some social events may occur off-campus, but are within a short walking distance. Free shuttle service is available via the conference hotel (Residence Inn) for those desiring a ride to those locations.
Registration ($80)
Please find a Registration form in the post below this one. The registration fee for this conference is $80. The registration fee for students is $50. Please register by October 1st. Late registration will be $100.
The registration fee includes the Friday reception, Saturday lunch, and the Saturday reception/banquet.

Please remember, if you haven’t done so already, to join ACIS or otherwise update your membership dues in addition to the submission of the registration fees for this conference. Conference Hotel (deadline for conference rate: 9/1/2010)
The conference hotel is the Residence Inn, which is located across the street within easy walking distance of the Boise State University campus.
Individual reservations: Each individual must make their own reservations by calling the hotel. They must identify themselves as a member of the Group (ACIS). All reservations must be guaranteed and accompanied by a first night room deposit or guaranteed with a major credit card.
The deadline for reservations for this conference rate is September 1st.

The conference rate is as follows: a Studio Suite is $79; a Penthouse Suite is $99.
The Penthouse Suite includes two full bedrooms, and thus can easily be shared for members interested in splitting accommodation costs.
Each suite includes a kitchenette and a living space.
The complementary breakfast is a buffet, rather than just a basic continental breakfast. Other accoutrements include:
- Free shuttle service: airport and local
- Free parking
- Complimentary daily newspaper (Idaho Statesman, USA Today, Wall Street Journal)
- SportsCourt and Fitness Facility
- Outdoor swimming pool and spas
Other Conference Information
Transportation. The free shuttle for the Residence Inn provides transportation from the airport to the hotel, and also provides local shuttle service. This includes transportation to and from the hotel to the Boise State University campus, and transportation to the reception/banquet, as well as any other local transportation needs.
In addition, the conference planners can arrange additional transportation if necessary.
Directions to Boise State University. As parking is limited and difficult on the university campus, we recommend parking for free at the conference hotel and using the shuttle service or walking to the conference events.
From the airport: The airport exits onto Vista Avenue. Follow Vista Avenue north. Vista Avenue will merge with South Federal Way and become South Capital Boulevard. Turn right onto University Drive. (To get to the conference hotel, you will turn left on University Drive instead.) The Boise State University campus will be visible. To get to the Student Union, where registration and the opening reception will occur, continue to follow University Drive. The Student Union will be on the left-hand side of the street.
From the East of Boise (coming from Mountain Home), take I-84 West to Exit 53, which is the airport exit. Turn right on Vista Avenue. Vista Avenue will merge with South Federal Way and become South Capital Boulevard. Turn right onto University Drive. (To get to the conference hotel, you will turn left on University Drive instead.) The Boise State University campus will be visible. To get to the Student Union, where registration and the opening reception will occur, continue to follow University Drive. The Student Union will be on the left-hand side of the street.
From the West of Boise (coming from Nampa), take I-84 East to Exit 53, which is the airport exit. Turn right on Vista Avenue.
